There wont be a Halo 4. Bungie has long confirmed this is the last of the Halo trilogy, the story of Master Cheif has ended. There are other theories though, the game Marathon, a very very similar game Bungie made back in the day could be thoght of as a "sequel" to Halo...since its about a cyborg who wakes up on a planet and is helped by an AI...but it just dosnt quite match up since the names are diffrent and there are complications in he story that just wouldnt work.

Halo Wars is actualy a pelude to Halo...taking place in the early years of the Human-Covenant War. So Im pretty sure that's not going to work.

There are other possibilities...but the Halo community needs time to figure this out.

according to gameinformer halo 4 will be headed by the gearbox company....and not bungie... the rumor isnt 100% confirmed but gameinformer seemed preety sure

My regards to MystDragon but i have info that says this is the start of another one maybe not one called halo exact but one with master chief now if you have read the latest book and seen the legendary ending to halo 3 it kind of lines up in the fact that the thing that they are drifting towards could indeed be onyx this is my theore and could be very wrong but i know there is going to be another movie with master chief and am hoping that its with his fellow spartans frank kurk and all of them

Well I know that they announced it as a end to the trilogy, but it wouldn't be the first time a game company went back on their word. True it might be something to Ghosts of Onyx, but that sheild world was activated, so that being the case MC would be vaporized by the sentinel sheild around it. So that can't be. And I realize that Halo Wars was before the trilogy, but still.

Trust me, I tried saying to people the same arguement Myst, but with that big of a cliff hanger, there is going to be something. Be it a movie or something, I dont know, but I wouldn't put another game out of the equation yet, companies have given into the general mass for another game before. And of course, with Gates profiting so greatly from Microsoft, I'm sure the most influential voice in the computer world might have a say himself...

Speculation! Tis grand!

Its is either something from the books or from bungie's first game marathon where there is a lot of evidence which points more toward that one.

well if u remember from the book all the sentinles along with the covenent where vaporized by an explosion except for the shield world remember?

ive got new clue but its pretty cool and theres a chance there might be another series i mean no flood, covenant are friendly, what else do u want. i thnk also, that it might have something to do with finding the forerunners

your totally right they just wanted to tick us off and theyre going to say "what legendary ending? we never had a legendary ending. hey bob! do u know anything about a legendary ending?" (bobs reply)"nope there wasnt one, they must all be drunk.......or maybe thats just me....." "bob!!!!!! youre fired!!!!!" aww dang it..." etc you get my point.
