Dude, it was a GREAT birthday. I got a new gaming mouse, gift certificates to Best Buy and Game Stop, new clothes and shoes, and I got PLASTERED. Blacked out and had to have my fiancee carry my drunk ass home, lolz!
WELL, I'll give you a list of some of my other favorite Muse songs for whenever you happen to have free time to check them out...
-Exogenesis Symphony (it's a 3-part symphony, so 3 different tracks, all phenomenal)
-I Belong to You
-Butterflies and Hurricanes
-Time is Running Out
I know that's a LOT, so don't feel pressured to go through all of them if you don't want to! That's just my list of favorites... (they're all on my Playlist on My Page if you want to just click on them and listen to them that way, it's cool too).
Hahaha! Indeed! Do you know much MUSE-ic? ;) :p I'm pretty crazy about the band, myself. Definitely my all-time favorite. :D
Thank you! I had an evening to mess around with my profile, and I think it looks pretty awesome now, haha. I'll likely change it again sooner or later though. :p Dang fickleness... That's probably not a word...
Oh, yes; I have read 'The Hobbit.' Unfortunately, though, I read it in school when I was probably in 5th grade or so, and I didn't appreciate it for what it was. I didn't quite understand it at the time, so I'm sure that if I read it again, I'd enjoy it more. I'm really more interested in reading The Lord of the Rings trilogy, though. Which of the books in the trilogy do you like the best? I keep changing my mind about which of the movies I like best, but I think I've settled on:
Fellowship is amazing
Two Towers is amazinger
Return of the King is amazingest
Hahaha, but I'm truly crazy about all of the movies!!
Yes, I have read "The Screwtape Letters," "Mere Christianity" (though it was completely over my head, and I probably should pick it up again and read it slower to understand it. Lewis is incredibly intelligent and deep!), and "The Great Divorce." I also have a lot of his other books on my To-Read List. :)
Oooh, "The Bells" by Edgar Allan Poe is my favorite poem of all time! I appreciate its perfect rhythm despite the enormity of its length; if a poem falters even for a moment in its rhythm, I trash it. Haha.
I STILL haven't read "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, how SAD is THAT?!!? I deffffinitely intend to someday, though. It's simply a must. I absolutely adore the movies, though.
Ooooh, I just may have to check out "The King in Yellow." Sounds interesting! And I always welcome any new book recommendations! I am always reading something! I'm currently reading:
-Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl
-Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
-The Princess Bride (abridged) by William Goldman
-Radical by David Platt
Care to share what's on your Currently-Reading list?
Oh, right, no such thing as a Pirates sequel. ;p Dur, what was I thinking? xD
That's awesome that you work at a book shop!! That sounds like a pleasant job to me. :) There's something special about the bookstore atmosphere... is it the various smells of all different shapes & sizes of new paper with unread ink? I don't know... it's so uniquely quiet, cozy & comforting somehow. A bibliophile's paradise... obviously, haha. I'm slightly sad that Borders is going out of business, though that means there are lovely bargains that I appreciate, being broke and all! xD Haha. Do you have Borders stores in the UK?
I have a few favorite books, but my all-time favorite series is C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Particularly books 1 & 4; "The Magician's Nephew" and "Voyage of the Dawn Treader," though I love all 7 with a passion! Another favorite is "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle. Also pretty much everything by Ted Dekker. That guy is a GENIUS!! Especially "The Circle Series," which includes 4 books: Black, Red, White & Green, respectively. I admit I've only read the first two books so far, but they are absolutely brilliant, and I'd recommend them to anyone.
As for treatises, I love both "Wild at Heart" and "Captivating" by John Eldredge, as well as "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" and "Boy Meets Girl" by Joshua Harris. Great books! What are some of your favorites?
Hahaha, glad to hear that you think the same way as I do about the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels and The Lord of the Rings extended editions! XD I'm also glad you included "The Princess Bride." What a great classic! I'm actually currently reading the book! The movie was amazing in how it seems to have followed the book almost perfectly -- as in, the script is word-for-word. Pretty great, I'd say. And it's very funny! Do you like to read much? I'm constantly reading SOME kinda book. Always a good novel and a Christian treatise, at least. I love and spend lots of time on the website http://www.goodreads.com/ =D
Aw man, sad that you get headaches from too much sun. :/ I've never noticed it before, but maybe I do as well, if I pay attention to it sometime, haha. I just get really tired after spending a day outside, even if I'm not doing hard physical labor outdoors. *Shrug* perhaps that's typical for everyone, I dunno...
Haha, you get to act the age you feel once you have a full head of grey hair? Nice, lol.
What are some of your other favorite movies? Mine are listed on My Page; I think the Monty Python stuff is gonna have to stop at SOME POINT. Haha. ;) Although I have been enjoying it. ;p Of course.
French & English, eh? Nice. I actually only have a little bit of Irish in me (you'd think I had more, though, because I have 4 siblings and we all have our own different unique shades of strawberry-blonde hair), and my family is mostly Swedish. I can't tan to save my life. I get lots of freckles, and my pale skin burns terribly quickly and intensely, but I'm ok with it. I'll never get a fake tan, cuz I know I'd look bad that way! Haha.
Starting to gray at 34, eh? Well, I guess that's not terribly unusual. I've heard of it before. I honestly think going gray is nothing to fret about; it GENERALLY means that one has lived a long life, which is a good thing!
HAHAHAHAHAHA, yes you've been hurled off the BRIDGE OF DEATH twice now, LOL, sad day. =p
