How Embarassing!

I just watched the video called 'Americans are NOT Stupid." It reminded me of the segment on Tonight Show with Jay Leno called 'Jaywalking.' Americans of all ages don't even know how to read a map, don't know much about other countries, don't know much about even their own country. I was born abroad in Okinawa and have lived all over the world, but that doesn't mean anyone else who's at least had a basic education shouldn't know where to find their own country on a map! All they care about is who is Bradd Pitt screwing or who's going to be shaking their ass on Flavor of Love, or stupid stuff like that which doesn't matter. I never claimed to be the smartest person in the world, but...read people! Learn something about anyone or anything outside of your own little corner of the world! There are so many exciting and beautiful things out there. Broaden your horizons. Even if you can't afford to travel you can at least read about other cultures and perhaps meet someone from another culture. We are everywhere. If you have a question don't be afraid to ask. You just might learn something!
