Oh, man. Kent and i were just hanging out today the ninja popped in madder than a hornet waking up drunk on nectar in a bees nests. Just got back from Prague last night and I am lucky to be alive. Kent and i were speaking at a conference called ProMAX. Doing our usual spiel about how new media is awesome and blah blah.com. It was a bloody sneaky Christmas indeed. This year i decided to get The Ninja a bag of all-purpose shadows. A pretty practical and thoughtful gift for a dark assassin. The Ninja gave me a punch in the face. Not as a response to my gift, but that was his gift to me. He said i would gain a lot of enlightenment from that punch. So far all i have gained is a broken, bloody nose, sever facial bruising and three hours of my life that I can no longer remember.

Wow. The ninja just showed up and kidnapped Kent and I. He took us to some wierd warehouse that was littered with dead bodies. He told that he was on a mission that involved spam (the processed meat product) and the cast of Twilight. We tld him he should hide the bodies before we did the ustream chat. Insanity. My girlfriend and I were up in San Francisco enjoying the a big outdoor concert when BAM the ninja shows and makes me work for him while he starts talking to bands and the crowd. I'm not even safe to take a day off. I kind of think he didn't even care about the concert he just wanted to mess with my day. But, what can do, he's a ninja. Anyway, Kent and I are going to cut something awesome out of it, but I really have to warn you folks to be careful about working with ninjas.

We are in the middle of recording the audio version of the Ninja Handbook and the Ninja has been going crazy. Tomorrow he told us that hs is bringing an actual
dragon into the studio! A dragon. He wrote the foreword for the book. I do not expect all of us to live through the day.

I forgot to post this exactly when it happened, but the Ninja made a special appearance at this year's Los Angeles Comedy Festival. He told several monologues and then a team of hilarious improvisers (dressed in all black of course) made up scenes based on his insane ramblings. Since they were quite literally playing with their lives, we were all relieved when the show went very well and all of the players got to live. Kent and I were blown away last night at the SXSW Web Awards when the ninja showed up not once, but three times. He graciously (if not egocentrically) accepted the awards for any winners that didn't show up. While accepting the award for Papercritters.com he chopped off the hand of host Eugene Mirman with a piece of paper. I workout for about 30 minutes maybe three times a week. How the heck do the ninja workout so dang much. I'm tired just thinking about it. You know how Vampires have their Renfields (passion slave servants) I wonder if there is a ninja version of that. Basically i don't want to die by the ninja, but I also think i'm just too darn lazy to get in "ninja" shape.

So the Ninja showed up last week to shoot a new episode and brought Kent and I our holiday presents. We each got one punch in the gut. It's the gift that keeps on giving because the doctor's say that the damage is permanent. I will not be able to look directly straight ahead for the rest of my life. Kent wasn't so lucky. Well, it is Friday and I'm finally getting around to writing and entry about the International Day of the Ninja on Wednesday.
