Right on man, thats cool! I'm totally down for the both of those ideas! I find myself pulling my own hair out of my skull due to the boredom I seem to be facing almost constantly! I've only been here a little over a month and can't seem to find the oomph to get out there and pick up a new life due to the mere fact I don't even know where to begin! i like things, and stuff,...but mostly things.....and stuff
Also, i'm a musician (guitar, bass, drums, keys, uke, mandolin, etc...)
I was a professional athlete until a torn bicep, torn ACL, and a few concussions took me from my sport; now, i'm just a "Joe" playing basketball on local courts (where i'm known as "the wall" to some, and "Sabonis" to others; both are size oriented nicknames for those of you who aren't basketball fans) and football when i can; sand volleyball, golf, and disc golf are all fun as well...
I can be a shut in a day or two each month, wherein i play vids and watch movies
I'm also an avid reader.
I double majored in college (history/philosophy with an athletics minor)
I'm currently working on two screenplays: one is a zombie film (nobody's ever done one of those, aye?), and the other is about the casual (and "weird") Austin experience, although i don't foresee finishing these in the near future.
I still train every week or so. My roommate is a "Pride" fighter, so a fella's gotta stay on top of his game to compete...
Favorite Music:
recently, it was atreyu, rodrigo y gabriela, ghostland observatory, the bravery...now, i'm going in a more old school direction: Earth, Wind, and Fire; Curtis Mayfield; Isley Brothers; Stevie Wonder; Ray Charles; Ohio Players; the Commodores...you know, the good lovin' music......
my ever present faves are janes addiction, slayer, 10 years (their new album is awesome), flaw, ozomatli, hendrix, zep, floyd, q.o.t.s.a., black label society, dead can dance, christian death, tool, opeth, al di meola, ani difranco, ottmar liebert.....
Favorite TV Shows:
thought surface and invasion were cool....presently...hmmm...no, just like sportscenter i guess. (skip forward a few years) okay, i really like Dexter and Weeds....Rome was awesome... and, of course, if i didn't send a shout out to my cartoon homies, i'd be a bit remiss in my duties, so...Futurama, Family Guy, Dungeons & Dragons, Transformers, Robot Chicken, Metalocalypse, American Dad, the Ultimate Avengers, etc....btw, does anybody remember "Undeclared"? short-lived, but pretty cool........
