I have a question for all God's ninjas...have u ever thought about this...how when people of different religions try to spread it its called "reaching out". but when Christians try to spread our religion we're told we're being too pushy...honestly how hypocritical is that??? tell me why we are prosecuted for what, from other religions, is completely acceptable?

the reason this happens is because people almost always tune you out when say your going to talk to them about God. Lets just face it we as Christians have a bad rap... now we kinda deserve it partially but mostly its just people seeiyng all the bad and none of the good, and just seeing what they want to see because it makes them feel good. unfortunately weak minded people are always going to be ignorant and fear what they dont understand...

the Christians message is a scandal, We vehemently hold to the theology of one God. All christian persecution would be removed if the christian call was not one of one God, that is why christian are supposedly 'pushy'.

He's saying, i think, that we are opposed because we believe in one God. I disagree... They tune us out because they are afraid to surrender themselves to anything, in our "look out for #1" culture.

im sorry that you have been influenced by people who bear the name of God... reaching out is explaining to people about God... wether they shut us out or label us as being pushy is entirely up to them... what i do every time i post on this site is "reaching out" i try my best to explain to those who do not know about God, or if there confused about God. its odd i know but the one who dont shut up are the ones who actually care about you, and love you enough to be annoying, and there the one's you need to listen to... now i know thats not always the case, but normally it is (like i said "Normaly")

"Believe what i say or i'll hurt you!" thats being too pushy, or even the famous "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!" is too pushy i do not dress like a chistian would, i've walked into a church and have been yelled at for weariing what i was (Black pants with a White dragon and a yin yang in the cuff, black hoody with black chains, and a Jimi Hendrix shirt underneath, i was even wearing my gold cross that has strangely gone missing...) they thought i was some deranged hood walking in to "Defile" thier church when all i really wanted to do was pray...instead of asking me if i needed anything, they threw me out! this is not how i or any other christians i know behave...

the people who tackle you and shove the bible down your throat are not interested in wether you accept it or not wich is really rather sad... instead they are more worried about being a 'Good' christian and getting the message out... unfortunatly, as is with the rest if the world, the acts of a few reflect on the acts of many...

So... your not athiest or agnostic... what are you if dont mind me asking?

I am truly sorry for what is happening to you, and if makes you feel any better i will pray for you, i dont really think that theland lord coming to christ has anything to do with you getting evicted...stop and think, he was probably already going to evict you...i praise him for trying to reach out to anyone he could, but you are right there is a time and place for everything...many new christians make this mistake, and it takes alot of time patientce and study to learn... for some this is not true, but for most it is...again i am truly sorry, i wish i could help. i know this is hard for you but think about his position, he probably has numerous propeerties that have tennants going through the same probem as you, cant find a job, or the job they have just isnt cutting it...what he did wasnt the best course of action...you dont tell someone there getting kicked out of thier hom then turn around and 'oh by the way have you heard about jesus?' no... it doesn't work that way...i have to go but i will be back, you are all in my thoughts and prayers...

I hate how we, as Christians, tend, to quote Petra, to "look through rose colored stained glass windows"

I think it's probably cause we believe that Christianity is the ONLY way to salvation, while other religions don't really care if you are faithful to just their beliefs.

It may be because they think they've heard the Christian spiel before.
I also think the basic premise of the topic is a little unfair. I've met pushy Christians, who evangelize in groups and try to outnumber and pressure people into Christianity.

Yes is hypocritical.. what you expect from the world. The Bible tells you they will hate you for what you are. Now a lot of it can be tributed to pasts our 'religous structures' have made in the past but there have been countless wrongs by any culture of any background.

CHRISTANITY WILL CONTINUE TO RECIEVE THE GREATETS FORM UNFAIR JUDGEMENT BY THE WORLD BECAUSE ITS THE ONE AND ONLY TRUTH. Not is it the real true truth, but its a truth that tells them that they can no save themselves.. that they perhaps might even have to change, that perhaps there is a God out there and that God has higher standarsd than they do (dont get me wrong our God is the very essence of love, but people love their evil deeds more than God).

Christanity out of all religions is attacked the most.. and survives and spreads the most. Now only is the books in the Bible more credible as we have way more manuscripts that all say the samething where other historical figures have like less than 4.. but we have manuscripts that are dated no more than 25 years after it happened in the new testament. There was even one man who said he would destroy/outdoe the Bible in a certain amount of years where you would only see it in an antique musuem. That very person died in the same amount of years they stated they would accomplish this task.

In any generation, in an point of history to come or already happen.. the heart of it all is that its because who we are that they will hate us. Your job is not to judge though. Not to talk among each other of how your strong minded and nto ignorant of the truth.. blah blah.. IT WAS BY GOD's GRACE THAT YOU ACCEPTED JESUS! It is your job not to bring them to the water, but to make them thirsty for the water by your words AND ACTIONS.

Sorry for the caps, but they served a purpose hopefully not to just annoy you.

Tim Gross you must look at it from the perspective of a scientist, ironically enough.

Look at the percentage of the world that is Christian, Catholic, and the like, and then compare that to the percentage of all other religions combined.

Some may say Christianity is a plague infecting humanity and that soon the Church will have more power than the government, God forbid.

Look at Christianity's history; it's bloody and violent history. People get spooked when Christianity "reaches out" they fear the worst because it's reputation is debatably the worst.

They see us as too pushy because to them we seem to force it or your going to hell.....Not gonna work. You gotta be patient with them they don't know what is going to come later in life.....You gotta H E L P them.....help them find a purpose for being here. Tell them that God made you to be changed and that he has a plan for them.....they aren't looking for religion. They want a reason to live. They want a secure relationship with some one who is closer than a brother. That's where Jesus is supposed to be. In a LOVING relationship. If were to pushy we are addressing the wrong topic (Hell, where they might end up...) what we really should do is tell them that Christianity isn't a religion..it's a relationship.....That's what we should be telling them.
