I Don't Fear God.
I don't fear God. I see absolutely no reason to do so, nor have I encountered a sufficient argument as to why I should, particularly from most mainline theologies. So before you pull out your bibles and start throwing verses at me, I want you to take a minute, exactly sixty seconds, and ask yourselves, truly ask yourselves if you fear God. Why or why not?

Psalms 147:11 the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

(i fear him and i dont,,,,... you know that your wrong you just dont want to admit it....God makes you see things about your self and change them)
You Fear him but you love him.
Sounds like a case of battered women syndrome to me
To understand battered woman's syndrome, one must first understand how someone becomes a "battered woman

1. The woman believes that the violence was her fault.
2. The woman has an inability to place the responsibility for the violence elsewhere.
3. The woman fears for her life and/or her children's lives.
4. The woman has an irrational belief that the abuser is omnipresent and omniscient
NOW REPLACE (battered women syndrome) WITH (Battered Humanity Syndrome) and the batterer with GOD

Its sad that your view is taken from what the "fanatics" and media etc.say instead of reading for yourself ..there are miracles..I'm sorry that you have never been a witness to one...I not trying to change your heart, noone can do that but you...I can see that you believe HE exists, or you wouldnt have replied the way you did...My question for you is What is GODs whim? I would never call you a liar...I would never try to correct you...I'm not angered by your opinion....read for yourself...think for yourself...the "so called power" that you speak of is also very real...GODs message is one of Love...when you find that, you will understand

Have you ever actually met a loving god? Do you know what a loving god does? What examples do you have to compare a loving God with? Or are these your own concepts that your re making up in your mind as you go? What is love?

Job 1:1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
(we all remember what happened to job)
Job 1:8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."
(despite all this the second God is challenged about Job. challenged by lucifer God turns Job over to lucifer and all of Jobs family)
Job 1:12 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands
Job 2:6 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life."

You use Job as an example...Job was tested by GOD, you look up the verse but do you read the story? Yes GOD said very well, then, everything he has is in your hands; but you must spare his life. Satan had said that if GOD would have taken all of Jobs possesioins away (For Job was a wealthy man) that Job would curse GODs name. So Job was being tested in his faith, and still after having his job, his money, and even his family taken from him he still did not curse GOD, and he was rewarded.

Job 2:3 you incited me against him[JOB] to ruin him[JOB] without any reason."
then later on in the story Jobs friends come to comfort Job. Jobs friends says (*God is just, always and everywhere... The just god rewards good people with good success.. Job was stripped of the rewards of success there for Job was not a good person*) Job 4:8 As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it..
Job 8:3-6 Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right? 4 When your children sinned against him, he gave them over to the penalty of their sin.5 But if you[. Job] will look to God and plead with the Almighty,6 if you[Job] are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your rightful place.
In other words Job its your fault.. so after this Job questions God
Job 7:20-21 If I have sinned, what have I done to you,O watcher of men? Why have you made me your target? Have I become a burden to you? Why do you not pardon my offenses and forgive my sins? For I will soon lie down in the dust; you will search for me, but I will be no more."
Then Job gets mad!!!
Job 9:17-18 He would crush me with a storm and multiply my wounds for no reason. He would not let me regain my breath but would overwhelm me with misery.
Job 2:3 ...you incited me against him[Job] to ruin him without any reason."
Job 9:19 If it is a matter of strength, he is mighty!And if it is a matter of justice, who will summon him..
In other words who can punish God for his wrong doings..
Job 9:20 Even if I[Job] were innocent, my mouth would condemn me if I were blameless, God would pronounce me guilty
Job realized that this is not about justice at all instead its about power and because its about power Job loses and God wins. Why because God has all the power. even tho Job is blameless and upright . Job says even tho i am blamles God will lie and say Job is guilty of some thing .. God is powerfull and Job is not.. Might makes right ..
Then God is mad at Job and says
Job 40:10-14 Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at every proud man and bring him low look at every proud man and humble him, where they stand. Bury them all in the dust together; shroud their faces in the grave. Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you
..Jobs never questions power it was Gods Justice of witch Job commanded of. so for 4 chapters God tells Job i did it because i cud when the day comes you have more power then me then ill answer to you.
and Job like the mortal man he is he surrenders
Job 40:4-5 "I am unworthy—how can I reply to you?I spoke once, but I have no answer twice, but I will say no more. I put my hand over my mouth.
Job waves the white flag of surrender.
Deuteronomy 28:63 Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you
1st God comes to Jobs friends and tells them
Job 42:7 After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.
if you remember Jobs friends say God is love and peace full that its Job the one that is wrong. Job is the one that has said that ( even tho i am blamles God will lie and say Job is guilty of some thing)
Wow OMG WTF Job was right ..
But then you might go but Job 42:6
Therefore I[Job] despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.
Job 42:1-6 Then Job replied to the LORD : "I know that you can do all things;
no plan of yours can be thwarted. You asked, 'Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge?' Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know."You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you, and you shall answer me.'My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes
Job was not repenting regretting what he did or said. Job was saying that he spoke the truth about God . sadly but true Job was right God is every thing he had said. rather his complaints of good are true and even said to be true by God him self.

I have no fear of god. Because there is no god. But if there was a god I would not FEAR him. No, I would PITY him. For how well have we been behaving down here on Earth lately?
Just because poeple don't beleive in god doesn't mean they fear him. I do not beleive because that is how I have chosen to live my life. If I don't believe then make any connections with god and me as you want but I don't have to.
