all right, I was gone for a bit, and I know we are not mentally on top of everything, but I though that because G-d was, is and will be everything, that (s)he should know what was/is up. So it may not be important that I take the left or right path now, but like a boat, a few degrees off course will land us in South America instead of North Carolina. I expect more from an omniscient being.

No, I don't mind the inconsistency, and I think you're right, God can't know everything that is going to happen, just some things...the important things I guess. Lol

Looks like the sign is telling you the coast is clear.

Maybe gods just using us as a trial run, shit we could even be an accident

That kinda destroys the thing about knowing everything. G-d can't know everything, except some stuff. I guess you could say that, if you don't mind the inconsistency.

Well they can know some of the things that will happen, but because they granted us free will, not even they will truly know what we will do with that free will.

Patrick, does divinity live, outside the individual also?
Patrick Comment by Patrick on February 14, 2009 at 4:49pm
I believe divinity is in the individual not some omnipotent god.

So the devine is not omniscient, doesn't know what will happen?
Sodaiya Comment by Sodaiya on February 14, 2009 at 1:02pm
Not necessarily. Just because He or She created us does not mean that (S)He knew what the outcome would be. Remember, us humans were given free will, which means we have the ability and the divine right to do what we wish with our lives, therefore our Creator can only sit and watch and throw in His/her two cents every now in then if they want. And yes, I do believe that we all do have a bit of the eternal inside us. We were created for more than what we've become, we just lost sight of whatever it was through the years.
