Ninja VS Samuri?

I guess the Ninja would win. I wanna know what everybody else thinks.

Well...How many samurai have you ever talked to? How many samurai have a website? The answer: none. There are no samurai left because they couldn't beat the ninjas. Why couldn't they beat the ninjas? Too much gold, bad for sneaking in the dark. Too shiny. Ninja fashion though is VERY practical, dead black and great for sneaking.; ▶ Reply to This

If they happen to meet in bright open territory the samurai would win, if in dark and closed in territory they would lose. Thats the reason why you don't see ninjas in actual open warfare. Samurai held the honor in fuedal Japan. They carried it in their swords, known as the daito or the katana. As I understand it, those two words are interchangeable. So, here go the honor-carrying Samurai.

Enter the ninja. A ninja has no honor, because he fights with everything. He uses powders to blind and stun, shuriken, caltrops, blowguns, and he strikes from freaking NOWHERE! Where is the honor in that?

I actually believe that a lot of the first ninjas were samurai who were defeated, and instead of choosing the honorable death of seppuku, they chose to continue living. They had left their honor behind, with their swords, and so they took up arms for whoever would pay the most, using whatever weapons they could fashion with their own two hands.; ▶ Reply to This
