As a Brazilian, I use "footbal".

and if you think, "Soccer" is a game where the hole point is ... FOOT... in the BALL!

by using the word soccer, we define our selves as americans. we are the only nation that real football (not soccer) is a huge game. by doing this and not switching to the metric system, we become unique. its all a matter of opoion, so what ever
