Issue with embedding video other than GooTube.
There are a lot of other video sites that allow for embedding video. The Ninja himself had a lot to say about being pidgeon-holed into only working with a specific video host site (tho speaking as a content creator). That being said, I CAN embed video from other sites (lulu.tv, etc), but there doesn't seem to be a thumbnail for the video (see my profile). However it looks fine when played. The embed format SEEMS to be similar to that used by YouTube, though I haven't embedded a GooTube video yet, so I don't know if it has the same issue (I'd presume not).

Anyhoo, that's my feedback. Use it if you will.

I know that Youtube (obviously), CollegeHumor, and MySpace video embeds including thumbnails work fine.

Also, since the network accepts flash embeds, I have even seen flash games work when posted in the video embed.
Apparently not Lulu, weirdly enough. CollegeHumor, YouTube, MySpace video don't really give you any reward for creating content. Revver.com pays you IF people click on the ads at the end of video. Vume.com and Lulu.tv pay you depending on how many views you get, no matter what. I'll try vume later, but it's nice to be able to post your videos in a way that rewards you if people like your content, ya know?

Thanks for the feedback about the other websites that work, too.
The big sties do work with Thumbnails, we had to get the Ning folks to work with our Video Hosts. It's just a matter of putting their engineers on the biggest fires.
Cool. Thanks for the reply. I'll just keep an eye out to see if the Lulu or Vume stuff works out eventually (not all of us are good enough to get sponsors ya know, heh). At least it plays properly, which I'm glad for, and people are still looking at them even if they can't see the thumbnails. The prospect of explosions mixed with science and chop-socky madness seems too hard to pass up for some!
Yep! Make sure you make your requests to Rachel and make sure it gets on the huge list of requests on Network Creators ;-) The more people requesting, the higher it gets in the queue.
That's okay. You added at least one more hosting site (tho I don't use) that works. Fair 'nuff, thanks. :) That, and I saw a couple of yours, I know THEY work. ;P
